JioSaavn has launched a new feature called Music Profile which is designed to help users better understand, track and express their music preferences through personalised insights and identity-driven experiences.

Available on Android, iOS and web, the feature transforms users' listening habits into a unique music identity, allowing them to find content that fits their taste and showcase their musical personality.

Music Personas:

At the core of the experience is the idea of a ‘Music Persona’ created from individual streaming behaviour. Based on the users’ listening patterns and favourite genres, they can earn persona badges such as Punjabi Murid, Bollywood Bhakt, Hip Hop Hustler and Telugu Abhimani among others.

Commenting on the launch, a JioSaavn spokesperson said, “Music plays an important role in how people express themselves and connect with the world around them. With Music Profile, we are creating a more personalised experience that helps listeners understand their evolving music preferences while enabling discovery that reflects their mood. This launch is in line with our continued focus on building experiences that go beyond streaming.”

Music Communities:

As part of the update, users can create unique handles and build public facing profiles that show off playlists, favourite artists and listening preferences. The move is intended to make music streaming more interactive and self-expressive, blending discovery with elements of identity and community, the company said.

The launch is indicative of a growing trend among streaming platforms to move beyond content consumption and create personalised experiences that encourage deeper user engagement and social sharing.

On Android devices, you’ll find Music Profile in the Library section. On iOS devices, it’s in the Profile section.
