This Independence Day, India’s leading audio and wearables brand boAt has unveiled a spirited new campaign titled ‘Rock in India’, celebrating its Made-in-India manufacturing legacy while cleverly responding to social media critics. The campaign humorously addresses online trolls who dismiss boAt’s Indian origin with “Made in China” remarks, turning the narrative into a bold patriotic statement.

The film stars popular content creator Purav Jha, known for his quirky impressions of viral internet personalities. In the video, Purav joins boAt factory workers and imitates some of the most chaotic online trends to grab attention for the brand’s Make in India story.

With comic energy, he kicks off by wearing a cardboard “boAt box” like a costume, declaring “Made in India dikhna chahiye!” He then performs the viral hookstep “Pehla Tu, Dooja Tu,” flashing production numbers until a worker proudly announces, “8 crore.” The antics escalate with a spoof of Speed’s famous “Suuuu!” squats before Purav leads a spirited chant: “boAt, boAt, boAt!” The film ends with a sharp transition from humor to a powerful message — revealing that boAt works with over 15,000 factory workers in India and manufactures 8 crore units annually under the Make in India program.

Commenting on the campaign and the noisy nature of online discourse today, a boAt spokesperson said, “It’s not just about making products in India; it’s about doing it with the people who understand our market best. And who better to celebrate this on Independence Day than our factory workers? Since 2020, we’ve proudly made more than 8 crore units in India. Facts often get buried in online chaos—but if being loud and crazy helps highlight the real heroes behind our story, we’re all in.”

The company also shared strong data points underpinning its commitment to self-reliance: 75% of all boAt products are now manufactured in India, generating more than 15,000 jobs directly and indirectly. As it continues its journey toward becoming the world’s third-largest audio and wearables brand, boAt is doubling down on its Indian manufacturing ecosystem and celebrating the people powering it.

In today’s fast-scroll digital era, ‘Rock in India’ proudly reinforces that Independence Day is not just about national pride, but also about recognizing those who are building the country’s future — proving once again that Make in India is more than a slogan; it’s a movement.
