Airtel’s Perplexity Pro Free Trial Nears End, Here’s How To Avoid Charges
Airtel’s free one-year Perplexity Pro offer is nearing expiry. Users should check auto-renewal settings to avoid unexpected charges.
Airtel customers who signed up for the telecom operator’s free one-year subscription to Perplexity Pro may soon have to decide whether to continue using the AI service as the promotional period nears its end.
Launched in 2025, the offer was made available through the Airtel Thanks app, where eligible Airtel users could access Perplexity Pro for free for a year. During the promotional period, customers were not charged, but some users were later asked to add a payment method to their accounts to continue using the service after the free period.
Early subscribers who are approaching the end of their complimentary access and do not wish to upgrade to a paid subscription should check their account settings and turn off auto-renewal before the renewal date.

Subscription Guide:
Perplexity may automatically charge you for the applicable Pro subscription plan after expiration of the free trial if recurring billing is still active.
To verify your subscription status, log in to your Perplexity account on a web browser and go to the subscription settings page. The page will indicate if the account is set to renew automatically or expire at the end of the promotional period.
Those who do not wish to continue with the paid plan can cancel the recurring subscription through the subscription management section. Once cancelled you can continue to access until the end of the free period, after which the subscription will not be renewed.

They can confirm the cancellation was successful by returning to their subscription settings page, where the account should no longer show an active recurring membership, but instead have an end date.
Depending on how you activated it, the way you cancel your subscription may be different. If you signed up through Apple’s App Store, you’ll probably have to manage payments through your Apple account settings. Otherwise, you’ll usually be able to cancel through Perplexity’s website.
