Sony Entertainment Television has started a new initiative to engage viewers in a competition titled ‘Ghar Ki Superstar Contest’ on its recently launched reality game show Tum Ho Naa- Ghar Ki Superstar.

Rajeev Khandelwal’s show celebrates everyday women and their achievements. Starting June 1, 2026, viewers will be able to enter the contest directly from their homes to win daily and weekly prizes.

The initiative will see viewers asked to watch each episode carefully and answer one simple question about something that happens or a moment in the episode.

How to enter the contest:

Viewers can enter the contest by scanning the QR code shown on the show or through the Sony LIV Assist WhatsApp service. Participants can win prizes by typing “TUM HO NAA” or “SUPERSTAR” and answering the daily question correctly.

The broadcaster said winners will be rewarded daily with a bumper prize bigger than the rest every week.

The competition is designed to increase viewer interaction by taking participation off the television screen and asking viewers to engage with the show on a regular basis.

On the initiative, Rajeev Khandelwal said the contest is to celebrate women who may not be physically present on the show but whose stories and contributions need to be recognised.

"I've had the opportunity to meet so many Ghar Ki Superstars and hear so many amazing stories in the last few weeks. “But like them, so many more women are sitting behind screens, at home, who deserve to be celebrated just the same,” said Khandelwal.

“The competition takes the show out of the studio and allows viewers to feel like they’re part of the journey,” he added.

With the Ghar Ki Superstar Contest, we want to take the stage out of the studio and make our viewers feel special and a part of this journey. That for me, is the real spirit of the show,” he added.

The initiative is part of a trend among broadcasters to blend TV programming with interactive digital experiences, leveraging WhatsApp and QR-based participation to foster deeper audience engagement and loyalty.

With the addition of gamification and rewards in its programming, Sony hopes to create a higher level of viewer engagement, while also reinforcing the show’s core theme of celebrating the everyday woman and her achievements.
