Shell India Releases Brand Film Honouring Nearly a Century of Energy Partnership

Shell India has released a new brand film titled “Shell Chale Ban Ke Saathi” to commemorate almost 100 years of serving as a trusted energy partner to the country. The film reflects Shell’s global purpose of Powering Progress Together, and emphasises its commitment to innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth as an integrated energy company in India.

Tracing its roots back to Burmah Shell, which first began operations in India in 1928, Shell’s latest video chronicles the company’s long-standing contribution to the nation’s energy development. It highlights its role in fuelling key milestones—from infrastructure development to innovation—and showcases its continued efforts to help India move toward a lower-carbon future.

Mansi Madan Tripathy, Chairperson of Shell India and Senior Vice President, Shell Lubricants Asia Pacific, said:
“For nearly a century, Shell has been a trusted partner in India’s energy journey — from fuelling the nation’s first flight to commissioning its first refinery. This film is a celebration of that legacy, built on partnership, trust, innovation, and a shared vision for a better tomorrow. As India continues to advance, Shell remains committed to delivering the energy it needs today, while helping build the energy systems of the future.”

The film pays tribute to Shell’s employees, its partner communities, and its long-term vision for India’s evolving energy landscape—framing its history not just as a record of the past, but as a continued pledge to support the country’s progress in the decades ahead.
