JioStar Launches ‘Ghus Kar Maarenge’ Film for PKL Season 12, Starring Rana Daggubati

JioStar has released the first advertisement from its new campaign for Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League, titled ‘Ghus Kar Maarenge’, featuring Telugu actor Rana Daggubati. The film is one of several creative pieces planned for the season, and it arrives ahead of the tournament’s kickoff on August 29, 2025, streaming live exclusively on JioHotstar and broadcasting on Star Sports Network.

The ad film, launched in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, opens with a tense standoff outside a sprawling property where a group confronts Rana Daggubati. With a snap of his fingers, a parade-like celebration appears — red carpets, drums, and traditional fanfare — confusing the group. Daggubati then confronts them calmly, as they begin to retreat, symbolizing the assertive control seen in kabaddi. He ends with the powerful line: “Ghuss ke marne ki baatein toh sab karte hai, but hum Telugu Titans wale karke dikhaate hai.”

The campaign comes in the context of a revised league structure and updated PKL rules aimed at ensuring decisive results and heightened competitiveness in every match. JioStar’s campaign underscores the aggressive, high-impact style expected in Season 12.

A JioStar spokesperson commented, “With the new season bringing innovations in the format and a clear focus on intensity, we wanted a campaign that reflects it. Rana Daggubati was a natural fit — his presence, restraint and command on-screen reflect the ethos of PKL Season 12. ‘Ghus Kar Maarenge’ is all about confidence, stepping in, and taking charge — and Rana captured that perfectly.”

Daggubati, expressing pride in being part of the campaign, said, “Kabaddi is not just a sport — it’s a battle of will, power and fearlessness. The Pro Kabaddi League has redefined the way we look at indigenous Indian sports. The raw aggression and energy on the mat every match is unmatched. I’m happy to be part of a league that honors true warriors and showcases India’s toughest sport with such excitement.”

PKL Season 12 kicks off August 29 with a southern rivalry as the Telugu Titans take on Tamil Thalaivas in an action-packed opening match. Fans can tune in to catch every raid, block and tackle live on JioHotstar and Star Sports.
