Panasonic Reports 50% Growth in Residential AC Sales During Summer 2026
Panasonic Life Solutions India reported a 50% rise in residential air conditioner sales during the 2026 summer season, driven by demand for smart, energy-efficient cooling.
Panasonic Life Solutions India on Monday said its residential air conditioners sales for the 2026 summer season grew 50 per cent year-on-year, logging the highest-ever seasonal sales in India.
The company said the robust performance was led by the growing consumer preference for premium inverter air conditioners, smart connected features and energy efficient cooling solutions, driven by increasing demand across metro cities and Tier II and Tier III markets.

Strong Demand Across Markets:
Commenting on the performance, Hirokazu Kamoda, Managing Director, Panasonic HVAC and CC India, Panasonic Life Solutions India, said India continues to be one of the company's most important global growth markets.
"India remains one of our most strategic growth markets globally, and recording this growth is a testament to the trust that Indian consumers have placed in our air conditioning solutions," he said.
Kamoda added that Panasonic remains optimistic about the long-term potential of the Indian market and plans to further strengthen its manufacturing capabilities while expanding its portfolio of smart and energy-efficient products.

Shift Towards Smart Cooling:
Demand for air conditioners with advanced technology that offer connectivity features, more convenience and lower energy use is increasingly shifting toward consumers, the company said.
