Jackie Shroff moves Delhi HC over alleged name misuse
Actor files complaint for trademark infringement regarding use of his slang "Bhidu," alleging unauthorized usage and seeking legal recourse
Actor Jackie Shroff has taken legal action against the alleged misuse of his persona and public rights, targeting the sale of merchandise, ringtones, and GIFs, as reported by media outlets.
Shroff's complaint primarily focuses on the unauthorized use of his trademarked term 'Bhidu,' a popular Marathi slang with which he is closely associated.
Advocate Pravin Anand, representing Shroff, has brought to the court's attention the existence of a restaurant operating under the name 'Bhidu.'
In response to Shroff's allegations, Justice Sanjeev Narula has issued summons to the defendants involved in the case.
