Hitchens — Cocktails and Ideas, a sophisticated yet approachable cocktail-centric resto-bar, has opened in Khar, adding a dynamic touch to Mumbai’s vibrant hospitality scene.

This two-story venue offers a unique blend of artisan cocktails, curated by mixologist Pawan Singh Rawat, and a lively space dedicated to cultural and intellectual engagement, inspired by the wit and intellect of author Christopher Hitchens.

A Collaboration of Creativity

Founded by Aparna Sud, a renowned production designer, and Rakesh Singh, a film producer, Hitchens boasts a team of award-winning creative minds with expertise in theater, literature, and cinema.

Live Entertainment Meets Culinary Brilliance

The first floor is a hub for live events, hosting everything from spoken word poetry and dark comedy evenings to book launches and Urdu blues sessions.

In the kitchen, Chef Gracian de Souza, alongside Chef Harsh Parikh, crafts a menu featuring contemporary European dishes with playful Asian influences, blending creativity and flavor.

The staff uniforms, designed by Bollywood costume designer Priyanjali Lahiri, add a stylish flair to the venue’s aesthetic.

The cocktail menu, conceptualized by mixologist Pawan Singh Rawat, features powerful flavors and surprising ingredients, such as fine-grained Japanese sugar.
