The technology aims to increase zinc recovery from 97% to 98.5% and repurpose discharges for fertilizer and paint industries. This innovative solution, developed by an Indian company, marks a global first and aligns with sustainability targets.
The pilot project will take 15-16 months before scaling up, reducing reliance on fumers for zinc and silver recovery. VEXL Environ Projects specializes in environmental solutions.
Despite a slight dip in mined metal output for FY24, refined metal production remained stable. Silver production saw a notable increase. HZL shares rose amid the market downturn.
