BluSmart Launches Exclusive EV Cab Service in Mumbai in 2025

BluSmart, the Gurugram-based electric vehicle (EV) cab service provider, is set to launch its services in Mumbai on January 1, 2025. The company announced the expansion on X (formerly Twitter) on December 28, 2024, revealing plans for an “invite-only” experience for selected users before it becomes available to the general public.

For those interested in being part of the early experience, BluSmart is offering an exclusive registration process. Potential riders can sign up by submitting their name, phone number, and email address through an online form. This limited-access service will allow chosen users to experience the EV rides before the official launch. The company expressed excitement about bringing its reliable, safe, and timely services to the city, adding that they had been working hard to make this dream a reality.

Founded in 2019, BluSmart has quickly become a key player in South Asia's electric ride-hailing and EV charging infrastructure market. The company is already operational in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru and expanded internationally with a launch in the UAE in June 2024. BluSmart distinguishes itself from competitors by following an asset-heavy model, meaning it owns all the cars in its fleet and employs drivers on monthly salaries, unlike many other ride-hailing companies.

The startup boasts a fleet of over 8,500 electric sedans and premium EVs and has completed more than 21 million rides, covering a total of 680 million clean kilometers. With this new launch in Mumbai, BluSmart aims to continue expanding its market presence and contribute to the growing demand for clean, sustainable transportation options.
