Apple reported a 16% year-on-year revenue increase to $143.76 billion for its fiscal year 2027 second quarter, driven by robust demand for its latest iPhone series and sustained growth in its high-margin services business.

Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook said India was one of Apple’s fastest growing markets, citing strong double digit revenue growth even as iPhone shipments fell during the period.

“We grew in developed markets and emerging markets, and we grew very strongly in double digits in markets like India,” Cook said on the company’s earnings call.

Record Growth:

He said the Mac business had its best quarter ever for new customers and upgrades for existing users around the world including India.

Apple set June quarter revenue records in every geographic segment, showing strong, broad-based demand across its markets.

"We achieved June quarter revenue records in every geographic segment. We were pleased to see strength across the board with June quarter records in the U.S., Latin America, Western Europe, India, China mainland, Japan and Southeast Asia," Cook said.

Revenue from the company’s flagship iPhone business came in at $85.27 billion in the quarter, up 23% from a year ago, helped by strong demand for the iPhone 17 series launched in September.

Services Momentum:

Mac revenue was $8.39 billion. iPad revenue increased 6% year-over-year to $8.6 billion. The Wearables, Home and Accessories business contributed $11.49 billion in the quarter.

Apple’s Services segment, which encompasses Apple TV+, iCloud, AppleCare, licensing deals and advertising, maintained its strong momentum, with revenue up 14% year-on-year to $26.34 billion.

Viewership on Apple TV+ rose 36% in December from a year earlier, Cook said, showing continued growth of the company’s digital content ecosystem.

Looking ahead, Apple's Chief Financial Officer Kevan Parekh said Apple expects revenue for the current quarter to grow between 13% and 16% year-on-year, implying sales in the range of $107.8 billion to $110.66 billion. The company remains optimistic on demand across its hardware and services businesses.
