Adani’s ‘Story of Suraj’ Shines Light on India’s Solar Future
Adani’s ‘Story of Suraj’ film celebrates India’s solar revolution, showing how clean energy transforms lives and empowers communities.
The Adani Group, India’s largest integrated infrastructure conglomerate, is illuminating more than just homes—it’s powering dreams and transforming communities with the magic of solar energy. Their latest digital film, ‘Story of Suraj’, is the third chapter in the acclaimed #HumKarkeDikhateHain series, and it’s inspiring millions by showing how clean energy is changing lives across the country.
A Town Transformed by the Sun
Set in a once-sleepy town now glowing with uninterrupted solar power, ‘Story of Suraj’ follows Rakesh, a young man who returns home after years away. What he finds is nothing short of remarkable: fields thriving with healthy crops, classrooms buzzing with connected students, hospitals running smoothly, and local businesses flourishing—all thanks to the steady, sustainable power of the sun.
This is not just fiction. It’s a reflection of the real impact Adani’s solar projects are having in rural and urban India, where reliable electricity is opening new doors for education, healthcare, and livelihoods.
Bringing Clean Energy to Every Corner
The film is directed by Amit Sharma, known for the hit movie ‘Badhaai Ho’, and conceptualized by Ogilvy India. With its warm storytelling and authentic visuals, the campaign puts a human face on India’s solar revolution. It shows how solar panels on rooftops and fields are more than just technology—they’re a source of hope and progress for entire communities.
Ajay Kakar, Head of Corporate Branding at Adani Group, sums it up:
“At Adani, we are not just generating electricity—we are creating pathways for progress. This film reflects the real impact of solar energy on everyday life. The transformation of one town is emblematic of the change we’re enabling across India.”
Adani Green Energy: Leading the Charge
At the heart of this transformation is Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), one of the world’s largest renewable energy companies. AGEL has already surpassed 15,000 megawatts (MW) of operational renewable capacity, making it India’s biggest and fastest-growing green energy player. The company’s projects offset nearly 29 million tonnes of carbon emissions each year—the equivalent of taking over six million cars off the road or planting more than a billion trees.
Adani’s solar farms and wind projects are not just about clean power. They’re about jobs, sustainability, and a brighter future. Over 3,700 green jobs have been created, and the company is investing billions to reach its target of 25 GW of renewable capacity by 2025, with an even more ambitious vision of 50 GW by 2030.
More Than Just Electricity
The ‘Story of Suraj’ campaign highlights how solar energy is a catalyst for opportunity, resilience, and progress. Whether it’s powering irrigation pumps for farmers, keeping hospital lights on during emergencies, or enabling digital classrooms for children, solar power is making everyday life better for millions.
Piyush Pandey, Chief Advisor at Ogilvy India, adds:
“Adani adds one more human touch to technology with its new solar energy film. ‘Story of Suraj’ shines by showing how solar energy brings life-changing opportunities to communities, helping them build a brighter future.”
A Brighter, Greener India
Adani Group’s commitment to clean energy goes beyond business. It’s about building a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable India—one where every village, school, and hospital has the power it needs to thrive. The ‘Story of Suraj’ is being shared across TV, digital, and radio platforms, ensuring its message of hope and transformation reaches every corner of the country.
