Looking to address the changing needs of modern Indian travellers, VIP Industries has rolled out its new ‘Travel VIP’ campaign with three new luggage collections- VIP Classic, VIP Flex and VIP Pod.

The campaign, conceived by McCann Worldgroup India, opens a new chapter for the luggage brand, speaking about design-led innovation, functionality and travel convenience.

At the core of the campaign is a series of cinematic product films, each focusing on one of the three new collections. The films use bold visuals, contemporary styling and aspirational travel settings to position the range as a modern solution for the traveller today.

VIP 2.0 Vision:

According to a report by the Ad Gully, the company said the campaign is a reflection of changing consumer expectations around mobility, convenience and design.

“The company is entering into a new phase with a fresh focus on product innovation & customer needs,” said Atul Jain, Managing Director, VIP Industries, commenting on the launch.

“VIP 2.0 is here. Travel today is more dynamic than ever, and the expectations that come with it are equally evolved. With VIP Classic, VIP Flex and VIP Pod, we have set out to bring together contemporary design, purposeful functionality and the kind of everyday ease that today’s Indian traveller rightly demands,” Jain said.

“Travel VIP is not just a campaign, it reflects the direction in which we see this category moving and the role we intend VIP to play in shaping it,” he added.

Feature-Led Innovation:

The new product portfolio includes three purpose-built collections designed around different travel requirements.

VIP Classic is a timeless design with clean lines and quality finishes. It has an expandable compartment for extra packing space.

The VIP Flex is based on the brand’s Flexi Flap which allows quick access to travel essentials from the front and offers greater packing capacity thanks to its 90:10 opening design.

Meanwhile, VIP Pod is aimed at the everyday traveller, with features such as a built-in cup holder, integrated mobile holder and suspension wheel system for smoother movement over different surfaces.

The campaign was about stepping away from product features and looking at how luggage can elevate the travel experience, said Mayuresh Dubhashi, Head of Creative, McCann India.

“We wanted to do more than just show features in isolation and tell a story on what those features enable. “Every film demonstrates how a bag can turn an ordinary travel moment into a VIP experience,” he said.

“The premiumisation of the brand is reflected in every creative decision, from cast to music to the worlds we built. We’ve moved the conversation from where people are going to how they are getting there. Because at the end of the day, the difference isn’t just travelling a lot, it’s travelling well. That’s what Travel VIP is all about,” Dubhashi added.
