The Grand Reveal: Pankaj Tripathi Invites India to a Mystery Party

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has officially kicked off its high-decibel marketing campaign, ‘India Ki Sabse Badi Party’, headlined by iconic actor and two-time National Award winner Pankaj Tripathi. Designed to capture the nation's pulse, the campaign launched with a 65-second brand film where Tripathi mysteriously invites viewers to a grand national celebration.

The dramatic reveal links the party straight to the pitch: a celebration of the Indian football team’s high-stakes match against five-time World Champions Brazil in Kolkata on October 3.

A Multi-Platform Engagement: From Tuitions to Fan Editions

Beyond the main campaign film, SPNI is executing a 360-degree digital and broadcast strategy to broaden football's mainstream appeal across India. The campaign extends to ‘India Ki Sabse Badi Party x Fan Edition’, a series of localized narrative films showcasing regional football culture alongside Pankaj Tripathi in multiple local languages.

Additionally, SPNI will roll out ‘Tripathi Ji Ki Tuition’, a collection of short-form educational films featuring the actor simplifying football concepts for casual viewers. To connect directly with digital audiences, a social-first campaign will feature Tripathi interacting directly with Indian football stars, including national team captain Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. To ensure maximum pan-India reach, the campaign films will air in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

Fixtures Schedule: India’s Clash with International Giants

The campaign builds momentum around three historic international fixtures. Team India kicked off the series against Panama on September 25, followed by the highly anticipated clash against five-time World Champions Brazil in Kolkata on October 3. The fixture series concludes with a high-powered match against Uruguay on October 6.

Leadership Voice: Turning Sports into a Cultural Moment

Commenting on the initiative, Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer and Business Head – Sports and International, Sony Pictures Networks India, highlighted the scale of the campaign: "India taking on Panama, Brazil, and Uruguay represents a landmark moment for Indian football, and we wanted a campaign that matched the excitement of these fixtures. Pankaj Tripathi’s universal appeal and authenticity make him the perfect host. Through this campaign, we aim to extend excitement beyond core football fans and turn these historic matches into a shared national occasion."

Actor Pankaj Tripathi added his perspective on joining the initiative: "Football has a unique way of bringing people together. The energy around these matches is truly infectious. Through ‘India Ki Sabse Badi Party’, we’ve celebrated that passion in a way that is relatable, warm, and full of joy. I hope fans across the country join in as India prepares to take on three formidable football nations."
