Meta AI soon to Introduce Chat Memory on WhatsApp for Personalized Responses
Meta AI’s Chat Memory on WhatsApp offers personalized experiences by remembering user preferences. Users control their data, ensuring privacy. The feature is expected to launch soon.
Meta AI on WhatsApp is preparing for a major upgrade aimed at enhancing its chatbot’s ability to function as a personal assistant tailored to user preferences. The key to this advancement lies in a Chat Memory feature currently under development, which promises to deliver more personalized and relevant responses.
According to WABetainfo, the Chat Memory feature will allow Meta AI to retain certain personal details, such as dietary preferences, birthdays, allergies, personal interests, and conversational style. This information will help the chatbot provide tailored responses based on the user’s lifestyle. For example, if the user asks for food recommendations, the chatbot could automatically filter out options the user dislikes or is allergic to.
A screenshot shared by WABetainfo reveals that Meta AI will include a disclaimer explaining how it “automatically remembers certain parts of your chat to give you more relevant responses." Users will also have the ability to manually input information they want the chatbot to remember by using a “remember this" command.
Privacy remains a priority, with users given complete control over the data Meta AI stores. Users can review, update, or delete specific information as needed, ensuring transparency in data management.
The Chat Memory feature was discovered in the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.22.9. While this feature is expected to roll out to a broader audience soon, Meta has not yet made an official announcement, and independent testing has yet to confirm its availability within the beta app.
