Ugaoo Appoints Jackie Shroff as Brand Ambassador to Expand Green Mission
Gardening brand Ugaoo has named Bollywood icon Jackie Shroff as its brand ambassador, marking a new chapter in its journey from urban favourite to a household name across Tier 2 and Tier 3 India.
Over the past decade, Ugaoo has built a loyal community of plant lovers by making gardening accessible, joyful, and emotionally resonant. Through storytelling, relatable plant care content, and community-driven campaigns, the brand transformed houseplants from mere décor into symbols of personal growth and emotional connection.
Jackie Shroff: The Perfect Cultural Bridge
Jackie Shroff—affectionately known as Bollywood’s “original green crusader”—is celebrated for his authenticity, humour, and lifelong passion for plants. From carrying a spider plant to public events to nurturing his own organic farm, his commitment to greenery is both genuine and enduring.
With his cross-generational appeal, Shroff connects seamlessly with Gen Z, millennials, and older audiences, making him the ideal face for Ugaoo’s nationwide expansion.
High-Impact Campaign Launch
The partnership kicks off with a campaign film conceptualised by Thought Over Design and produced by Cathect Studios. In the ad, Shroff consoles a heartbroken plant parent over her wilted Alocasia, orders a fresh one from Ugaoo, and delivers the instantly memorable line: “Ugaoo, Bhidu, Ugaoo.” The spot blends humour, warmth, and plant care in a way only Jackie could.
Founder & CEO Siddhant Bhalinge said, “Jackie Shroff is not just a face, he’s a feeling. As we prepare to expand across Bharat, his presence brings relatability, timeless credibility, and a refreshing sense of fun to our story.”
With Jackie Shroff onboard, Ugaoo aims to root itself deeper in India’s cultural and emotional landscape, making plant care a way of life across the country.
