Titan Smart Signs Satwik-Chirag, Launches Celestor 2.0 GPS Watch

Titan Smart has appointed Indian badminton duo Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty as brand ambassadors, aligning the smartwatch brand with two of the country’s most recognised doubles athletes. The announcement coincides with the launch of Titan Celestor 2.0, a dual-band GPS smartwatch positioned for performance-focused users.

Rankireddy and Shetty, recipients of the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna and Arjuna Awards, are widely known for their on-court chemistry and attacking style. Rankireddy also holds a Guinness World Record for the fastest badminton smash. Popularly referred to as the “Smash Brothers,” the pair represent a combination of power and precision — attributes Titan Smart has linked to its product philosophy.

The Celestor 2.0 is designed for structured training across multiple sports, including running, swimming and triathlon. The smartwatch integrates L1 and L5 dual-band satellite locking for location accuracy, alongside heart-rate zone training, training load metrics and readiness scores aimed at users tracking performance progression rather than basic activity counts.

It also includes offline maps, downloadable routes and ABC sensors — altimeter, barometer and compass — for outdoor tracking. With 5ATM water resistance and advanced swim metrics such as heart-rate monitoring in water, SWOLF score and automatic stroke detection, the device is positioned within the growing premium fitness wearable segment.

Seenivasan K, Business Head – Smart Wearables at Titan Company Limited, described the partnership as an extension of the brand’s “Infinite Possibilities” narrative. He said the athletes’ discipline and focus align with the watch’s design intent, adding that the collaboration brings together sporting performance and product innovation.

For Titan Smart, the endorsement signals a continued push into the performance-oriented wearables market. While fitness trackers have become mainstream, dual-band GPS capability and advanced training metrics are typically associated with more specialised sports watches. By highlighting features such as readiness scores and satellite precision, the brand appears to be targeting serious fitness enthusiasts and semi-professional athletes.

Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy said the collaboration reflects shared values around precision and progression. The pairing also strengthens Titan Smart’s sports credibility at a time when Indian athletes are gaining greater global recognition.

From a marketing perspective, sports endorsements remain a key strategy in the wearables category, where product differentiation often hinges on performance claims. Associating with athletes who embody measurable progress and competitive success helps translate technical features into relatable narratives.

The campaign is currently live across digital platforms, showcasing the athletes’ partnership alongside product demonstrations. As consumer interest in data-driven fitness grows, brands in the smartwatch segment are increasingly emphasising advanced analytics and multi-sport functionality over general lifestyle positioning.

With Celestor 2.0, Titan Smart appears to be reinforcing its presence in the performance wearable segment, leveraging sporting credibility to compete in a category shaped by precision, tracking accuracy and training insights.
